Alterations work available - July
Hello all!
I've been picking up some work with a _wonderful_ 85-year old dressmaker, but I'm leaving for the next few months so she needs more hands in the shop for July (she closes down for the month of August and reopens in September, and shop hours are 9am to 4:30pm).
Not gonna lie, I've been accepting minimal pay (flat fee for the day, half hour guaranteed lunch), because I don't think she can afford too too much, and I am learning some new-to-me techniques. She's very old school about not talking about money/pay as an etiquette thing, so feel free to be upfront about what your pay needs are.
That said, I've really loved working with her and the other stitcher, and she's got a steady line of clients that recommend her as the best shop in the North Shore.
